ESV creates Energy Clusters to spread the concept Energy Islands and support local business.   Energy clusters are formed by local   municipalities together with business groups and DSOs. Theinitiative is based on local generation of energy from renewable sources and its subsequent localconsumption. The benefits of this are multiple. This environment-friendly approach may reduceenergy costs by dispensing with national transmission lines. The region in which the cluster operatestherefore becomes  more attractive to investors.

ESV with its nationally dispersed structure naturally creates conditions for Energy Clusters, whereeach and every of its members can become a producer and consumer of energy. ESV efficientlycoordinates the work of a Cluster and is responsible for local distribution and balancing. We applyour Smart City tools to monitor and manage the grid. Any surplus energy can be stored and used during consumption peaks .
